MARC 21 standard is main feature we needed in Chizar Enterprise Archive project to import and export data, which was added to SharePoint 2007.

By this feature all data in this archive restore under the MARC 21 standard support in the SharePoint lists and would be export in MARC XML, MARC 21 HTML and Dublin Core standards.

It has added as a customized list including the main columns of MARC and enable the whole lists and records to be viewed and restored having MARC structure.

Not only the lists, but the SharePoint advanced search was customized to show the results in MARC structure, the feature which is used to categorize and restore the librarian and social data.
