Company Situation

Payam Airline head office is in Tehran but the airport is located in Karaj. They needed to collaborate information on a web based environment, applying a web based system as a platform for office automation, which was not a common system on that time in Tehran.

 
Our Solutions

It was our first practical experience top of SharePoint Farsi. Before that we studied on almost 50 open source and commercial portals and content management systems, to use as a platform for our developments.
We used Persian Windows SharePoint Services 2.0 and deployed it on companies' intranet. Whereas there was no workflow foundation at that time, we developed our own workflow engine to store, assign and archive income and outcome letters.
Now by Windows workflow foundation support on .NET Framework 3 and workflow designing capabilities of SharePoint Designer 2007 also visual studio 2005, especially when you discover fantastic integration between SharePoint 2007 and Exchange Server 2007, you will find that it's perfect to use SharePoint 2007 as a platform for your office automation.
